Jgr Star Chase Briscoe talks about the feeling of always having a “chip on his shoulder”

Chase Briscoe has thought about its 2025 Nascar Cup Series season, which is filled with solid achievements. Despite the success, he thinks that there is no more to prove – for himself and his crew chief of the Joe Gibbs # 19 race, James Small.

Briscoe, 30, arrived in JGR after a four-year stay at Stewart-Haas races, now disappeared. He took over the Toyota Camry # 19 of the 2017 Nascar champion Martin Truex Jr., putting pressure on the whole team to keep his first place in sport.

During his first year with the team, the native of Indiana is determined to show that he belongs. Until now, he has won two victories (Pocono and Darlington)-the first time in his career, he won several victories in a single season, with 12 first top-five and 16 TOP-10, marking a strong improvement compared to his results in previous years.

Espn Briscoe’s comments reported on what the racing car driver aims to accomplish in his career.

“We both had, I felt like many people doubt us …” Why are they in this role? ” James had a lot of flak for how he and [Truex] would go back and forth [on the radio]And now, knowing James, I have never met someone more competitive and more determined to win and want to do what it takes to win, “he said.

“It was good because we both have this chip on our shoulder; We want to prove that we belong. ”

The Hollywood Casino 400 in Kansas is scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 p.m. HE. The following race on the route of Charlotte Motor Speedway Road will host the final of 12, which means that four drivers will be eliminated eliminatory series.

“Tips are easier now”: Chase Briscoe during the turnaround of mid-season in the middle of the first year at Joe Gibbs Racing

Chase Briscoe provided challenges when they go from Stewart-Haas races to power Joe Gibbs Racing. But as the season progressed, he became more comfortable with his new team, showing the race for Charlotte Motor Speedway as a key turning.

Talk to RunnerKelly Crandall, Pilot Toyota # 19, said:

“Tips are easier now […] Where, at the beginning of the year, you are the new guy who does not run normally in advance. So now everything is much easier than it was at the start of the year. »»

Briscoe has already exceeded his teammate Ty Gibbs for winning victories for JGR, winning two victories so far this season. His teammates, Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, also managed to succeed with five and four victories, respectively. Given the performance of Briscoe so far, he is considered a legitimate championship competitor – a title race which, in the event of success, would obtain the first championship of the team of team cuts from Kyle Busch in 2019.
