Jesus of Phillies Luzardo puts a perfect mark online against the brewers

Jesus Luzardo was all that the phillies of Philadelphia could have asked – and more.
The left-hander puts his spotless record on the line on Saturday when the phillies continue their weekend series against the Brewers of Milwaukee on visit.
After coming in a business offset with the Miami Marlins, Luzardo (5-0, 2.15 ERA) helped consolidate one of the best rotations of the majors. He has not yet granted more than three points at the start and worked at least five rounds with each outing.
More recently, the 27-year-old has granted three points in seven rounds with a defeat of 5-4 against athletics on Sunday. He also withdrew 10 strikers for the second consecutive appearance.
“I feel good now,” he said. “I know that we enter in June, so it’s a long season, but I’m feeling good at the moment.”
Luzardo, who is 1-1 with an MPM of 4.00 in three career starts against Milwaukee, will have to closely monitor Christian Yelich. The former MVP of the National League has five circuits and 12 points produced in the last seven games.
In the sizzling section, Yelich has a pair of multi-homer games, including one in the opening of the series on Friday. He exploded a three-point circuit and a solo shot in the 6-2 victory, finishing with three strokes while Milwaukee won his fifth consecutive match.
Yelich came by hitting only .147 with 27 stick withdrawals and no circuit in 68 at-bats against Southpaws before going deeply against the left-handed Tanner Banks on Friday.
“I faced a lot of left -handers in my career, so I know it’s going to go,” said Yelich. “I left a little difficult this year, but you stay somehow with him, try to find where you want to be and continue to get out of it.
“I know that I was not great on the left -handers so far this year, but I have struck the left -handers in the past, so I know that it is not impossible.”
Philadelphia only succeeded in the competition when the hosts lost their second consecutive match after a period of 11 victories in 12 competitions. Nick Castellanos dominated while Kyle Schwarber doubled twice in a losing effort.
“We have to start using the whole terrain again and try to put the ball in the air,” said Phillies manager Rob Thomson.
On Saturday, the Phillies will face the recruit of the Brewers Chad Patrick (2-4, 2.97 ERA), which will make its 12th career starting and its 13th appearance in total. The recruit will face Philadelphia for the first time.
Patrick did not go deep into matches this season, recording more than six heats only once. However, it is largely by design, because brewers generally do not want it to go through the opposing range a third time.
That said, the 26 -year -old right -hander has always kept the team in the matches he started. He bleached the Boston Red Sox on 4 2/3 rounds on Monday, granting only three strokes and two walks while withdrawing six in the Brewers 3-2 victory.
“Very well. Key,” said Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy, summarizing Patrick’s last solid performance.
