Jessica Tarlov does not leave the hypocrisy of Jesse Watters surrounding the floods of Texas and Hurricane Helene in 2024 goes unnoticed.
Tarlov continued his co-host “The Five” for not having kept President Trump at the same level concerning the flood of Texas which he made when Hurricane Helene touched land under the Biden administration. In particular with regard to lies, Trump staggered on FEMA following the storm of September 2024.

“I do not think that talking about preparation or what could have helped qualify as exciting the memory of those who have been lost or harmful to the thoughtful conversation that must take place because this river has been flooding for a very long time,” said Tarlov. “We were here around the table when Hurricane Helene struck. I did not hear Jesse Watters say that Donald Trump should stop spreading lies on Biden administration and FEMA funds.”
She continued: “Trump came out and he said:” They give your funds for the illegals, they house them with your FEMA dollars. “Then he said that you would only get $ 750 of FEMA – which was a complete lie and that there are republican officials who testified that people did not obtain their aid to FEMA because of what Trump and other Republicans said.”
Tarlov concluded that the GOP Legislative Assembly rejected “more than $ 54 billion in needs identified in terms of disaster resistance” which could have helped to mitigate the damage caused by Texas floods.
“This is something on which they can work to go ahead and, hope, avoid a tragedy like this,” she finished.
The Lightning Flood Catastrophe struck Texas during the weekend of July 4 with a current assessment of more than 100, according to the Associated Press, including 27 campers and advisers of Camp Mystic. This number should climb while managers continue to search for survivors among devastation.
“We were in communication with the local and state authorities that tirelessly deploy extensive resources to search for our missing daughters,” Camp Mystic said in a press release on Monday. “We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of community support, the first stakeholders and civil servants at all levels.”
