Last Final Trailer Rites Let’s take a major element of the franchise tradition

The entire films of “The Conjuring” leads to this. The supernatural saga, centered on the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, respectively), only won vapor in nine total entries since the original 2013 of James Wan – The films and the spin -offs included. Even the most scary things must end, however, and it is enough to look at the title of the “Last Rites” of this year to realize that he has all the shows of a last song of Cygne for one of the most successful franchises of all kind.

But don’t let yourself go. The end of the line can come, but there is still a lot We do not know the most obsessive couple of Horror power. The first trailer for “The Conjuring: Last Rites” confirmed that the end case of the Warrens would involve the infamous family of the obsessive, a little shocking of real folklore which remains controversial to date. There, it was implied that Ed and Lorraine met an “thousand” individual cases during their career … Only a fraction that we really saw during films, of course. Well, the final trailer published today (which you can look above) adds another crucial piece of the puzzle. Indeed, a key revelation brings all the whole franchise in a circle in a way to which we may not expect – and, in the process, let’s take a major element of tradition in “The Conjuring” as a whole.

Dude, if only I had a nickel for each time the past manages to catch up with us in the most ironically. After decades to survive the most heartbreaking paranormal events that the supernatural world could possibly (ahem) evokes, the Warrens may have finally met their match in “The Conjuring: Last Rites”. This is the year 1986, and Ed and Lorraine seem ready to finally end the work of their lives. Of course, anyone who has already looked at a single piece of narrative fiction can probably guess what is going on. Indeed, they are roped in a last case (very Logly based on a true story) … and that apparently implies a demonic presence that they know well.

“There is an evil here … Something that I felt before. This thing in your house is a demon. It is the first that we have never encountered”, a distraught Lorraine is slowly achieved very early in the images. What better way to bring things to a satisfactory end than to force the couple to face the demonic entity that apparently put them on their investigation path in the first place? It does not seem that everything goes very well the first time, because Lorraine explains that she and her husband were young and are afraid all these years ago. To underline this point, we see respectively the imagery of the actors Madison Lawlor and Orion Smith, as younger versions of Lorraine and Ed, with the first take in a terrifying vision, a dream sequence or a flashback of itself stuck in a room of mirrors while one of its reflections comes to strike-literally and sinister.

On the basis of the first images we have seen from this beginning, which led all the different trophies and artefacts possessed collected by our characters over the years, the future to come to have other twists and turns in its sleeve concerning the franchise tradition? Given the proximity of a “Avengers: endgame” style crossing for this film, nothing can be considered outside the table.
