Earlier this month, country music star Jelly Roll joined her teammate Randy Orton in a match against Jake Paul and Drew McIntyre in Summerslam 2025. Before playing in the event, he clearly indicated what WWE means for him.
“It is a question of belief – to believe in me – and want to be selfishly part of a good moment,” he said earlier this week in an interview with Jackie Redmond of WWE. “I love this business. I just want to bring value. I’m not here to take nothing away. I’m not here to take the place of anyone. I want to bring value. I think it is one of the greatest narrative ages that I saw in the struggle of this decade. ”
He is just as passionate about the NFL – namely his hometown team: the Titans of Tennessee.

The beloved musician was brought by coach Brian Callahan to talk about life on the road. As a person who spends 300 days on tour, the singer, whose real name is Jason Deford, has a unique overview of her challenges – but also of her opportunities.
“Buses, trains, planes, cars, walking, you call it, we did it. I learned early that it was there that the magic was. This is where the magic was for us. Seeing what was on this road between me and the boys, began to translate on the stage,” he told the team.
“We learned that it was the 23 hours that we were not on the scene that we establish our connection,” he added. “I started to become a better composer when I started to become a better husband. I started to become a better interpreter when I started to become a better human.”
During the conversation, he revealed with casualness that he had lost 200 pounds. “I lost 200 pounds. I told Coach that I get a contract if I lose 50 others,” he joked.
Fans loved the revelation. “Homie has lost a lot of weight,” said one person before another adds, “Fucking continues to do it Jelly Roll, you look like a bright brother.”
Jelly Roll’s weight loss is well documented
Before his appearance during the WWE Summerslam event, Jelly Roll revealed a major weight loss objective.
“I was more than 300 pounds out of the college,” he told Stephanie McMahon de la WWE and Elyse Ashleigh Dudzinski. “I’m going to have less than 300 pounds for the first time since college at night when I go to this ring in Summerslam.”
The Tennessee opens the 2025 season with a road competition against the Broncos de Denver on September 7.
