The Ministry of Trade and Economic Opportunities of Illinois says that John Deere’s notice of layoff was an internal error

East Moline, Illinois (KWQC) – The Illinois Ministry of Commerce and Economic Opportunities said that the notice of layoff of Mass Deere & Company filed for John Deere Harvester in East Moline on Wednesday was an internal error.

More than 230 employees of John Deere have dismissed in 3 facilities

On Wednesday at 9:30 p.m., Illinois Worknet Center website said there will be a total of 819 layoffs in John Deere Harvester Works, which started in September 2023.

Friday, in a press release, the Ministry of Commerce and the economic opportunity of Illinois said:

Deere & Company filed a mass dismissal notice on Wednesday for John Deere Harvester in East Moline.

In October 2024, Deere confirmed that more than 200 people would lose jobs in Harvester Works in East Moline. The company also dismissed 80 in Davenport Works and seven in Moline Seeming.

Deere & Company experienced a profit call on Thursday.
