Jefferies noted that retail trends are showing signs of weakness. The research firm highlighted a decline of 1.5%, representing a reduction of 100 basis points quarter over quarter. The company also faces legal action in the United Kingdom related to claims that its talc products cause cancer.
According to Jefferies, the lower price target explains “less visibility on the execution schedule, taking into account the risk of liability”. Despite this, the research firm believes that Kenvue Inc.’s (NYSE: KVUE) forecast for 2025 will remain intact. The company also suggested that updates related to a new permanent CEO and the company’s strategic review may prove more important to investors at this time. Jefferies expects to see these announcements soon.
Previously, on October 24, Deutsche Bank also reduced its price target on Kenvue Inc. (NYSE: KVUE) from $20 to $18 and maintained a Hold rating.
