Jeff Goldblum’s Madame Tussauds wax statue is a must-see

He’s a wizard after all!
Jeff Goldblum’s Madame Tussauds wax statue was unveiled alongside the 73-year-old actor at New York’s famous museum on Wednesday – and it looked just like him.
Goldblum’s wax figure wore a black shirt, pants and matching jacket and wore his signature black-rimmed glasses.
The real “Jurassic Park” star, meanwhile, wore an all-white outfit and the same glasses as he cheekily posed for photos next to his lookalike.
Unlike the Goldblum statue, many other famous wax figures have failed in the past.
The Berlin branch of Madame Tussauds was mocked in 2021 for a figure in a sexy Christmas outfit that was supposed to be Rihanna. And last year, Madame Tussauds Blackpool in Blackpool, England, unveiled its statue meant to resemble Beyoncé.
Social media users couldn’t help but notice that the character looked rather similar to actress Leah Remini.
Goldblum’s wax figure – which deserves double attention – comes in the middle of his press tour for “Wicked: For Good.”
The actor plays the wizard in the two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical “Wicked.”
Last month, director Jon M. Chu, 45, talked about making iconic films.
“It was like a kindergarten setting all the time,” he told the Post.
“Everyone was playing. I mean, Johnny [Bailey] and Ari [Grande] together, it’s crazy. Then you throw Bowen [Yang] in there and Cynthia [Erivo]! »
Although Chu was popular among his actors, he sometimes felt like he “had to be a teacher.”
“The spirit of the film had to be like that,” he explained. “And so we always had to play, and they had to trust that I would protect them in the edits. And I think that came out of that. So it was really fun.”
Alongside Goldblum, “Wicked” stars Grande, 32, as Glinda the Good Witch, Erivo, 38, as Elphaba, and Bailey, 37, as Prince Fiyero.
And behind the scenes, everyone on set was dancing through life.
“I loved their rehearsals because the pressure is high,” Chu said. “Everyone expects a lot from Glinda and Elphaba. They’re so confident in what they’re doing, but we’re all afraid because we’re taking over such beloved properties.”
“But we would sit on the floor in my office to rehearse,” he added. “We wouldn’t be standing. They loved the floor, they had to feel the floor. So we would be there and we would talk about every line – everything. We would try different versions. And working like that was really beautiful for us to find our way in this Oz.“
After the first part of “Wicked” was released in theaters in November 2024, the pop culture phenomenon took off.
Moviegoers turned the screenings into mass chants, and Grande and Erivo went viral for communicating through touch during their press tour.
Chu didn’t see the impact coming.
“I know people love ‘Wicked,’ but seeing them fall in love with Elphaba and Glinda in that form, with Ariana and Cynthia, understanding the power that they have, that’s the best,” he told the Post.
“Seeing my granddaughters and grandsons also fall in love with the world of Oz… ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is so old and ‘Wicked’ has been around for 20 years. It’s been the best part of my whole life. They love what I do for a living now, it’s awesome.”
On Wednesday, Goldblum took a moment to revel in his bond with Bailey.
“We are together,” he said on “Today,” before adding simply: “I love this movie.”
