Jay Shah rejects the PCB request to dismiss Andy Pycroft, Pakistan out of the Asian Cup 2025

The ICC has planned to reject the PCB’s request to replace referee India vs Pakistan Match, Andy Pycroft. He should continue in the Asian Cup because the international organization cited that he had a very limited role in the handshake.
The tense relationship between India and Pakistan was obvious on the cricket field when the two archivals clashed against each other during the Asian Cup match. India may have won the match with ease, but their distant behavior towards Pakistani players has led to general indignation.
PCB filed a complaint against the match referee after the controversy of the handshake
Pakistan Cricket Board had filed an official complaint against the match referee not to have informed them of the modified protocols for the match. According to his instructions towards the two skippers, they ignored an initial handshake during the draw.

But Andy Pycroft had forgotten to mention the Pakistani skipper, Salman Agha, that such taxes would be posed throughout the match. This led the skipper and his players to take place when the Indian players left the field without formal handshake after the end of the pursuit.
Even the coach who walked towards the Indian locker room for a gesture found him locked and was shocked by such indifference.
ICC rejects PCB advocacy for the replacement of Andy Pycroft
According to the latest Cricbuzz reports, the ICC has planned to reject PCB advocacy to replace the match referee Andy Pycroft. They mentioned that he did not prove to have played a role in the handshake fiasco which took place at the Dubai International Stadium.

It would now depend on the Pakistani cricket team if they participate in the next match against the water or hold out and boycott the game in order to follow their integrity.
India qualified for super-4: Pakistan or water to contest for second place
After their victory over Pakistan and the water beating comfortably Oman, the men in blue qualified for the Super-4 scene. They are the first team to have reached the upper level, while all the other teams are still waiting for their matches.
Pakistan is still second on the point table in group A, but would only be able to qualify if they win against the water in their last group stadium match. They defeated the water twice in the tri-series, which was held just before the Asian Cup.
