Jason Statham’s crowd-pleasing action thriller ‘Bang Bang Shoot ‘Em Up’ finds its way to streaming success

The latest action thriller Jason Statham continues to enjoy streaming success, with the genre icon once again proving why he’s one of the most popular actors to ever throw his fists into the endless faces of nameless enemies. The actor remains one of the most popular action heroes on the planet, with his latest outing once again casting him in the classic role of a man with a mysterious past and pitting him against human traffickers.

Directed by The Beekeeper David Ayer with a script by Statham Consumables his co-star and fellow action movie icon Sylvester Stallone, A man who works is based on the 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade” by Chuck Dixon. Starring David Harbor (Stranger things, love at first sight*), Michael Peña (End of the day before), Jason Flemyng (Lock, stock and two smoking barrels), Arianna Rivas (The black phone 2), Noémi Gonzalez (Selena: the series), and Emmett J. Scanlan (Peaky Blinders, Kin) alongside Statham, the action thriller may not have been as successful with critics as the actor and martial artist’s first foray as an assassin-turned-beekeeper, but it was embraced by audiences.

So, A man who works marks another huge streaming success for The Stath, with the action release once again landing in the Top 10 on Main video alongside artists like Mark Wahlberg Play dirtyDwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Christmas action comedy RedAnd Reach star Alan Ritchson’s latest action offering, Reading date.

A man who works proved deeply controversial upon release, causing a further divide between critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The action release now holds a 47% critic score on the review aggregator site, as well as an 87% “Verified Hot” audience rating on Popcornmeter. “The Stath stoically and reliably delivers high-octane action in A man who worksa bang bang shoot ’em up that pairs perfectly with hot, buttered popcorn,” reads the audience consensus. Jason Statham continues to fight the good fight for a retro, no-nonsense action thriller. As for the action movie horizon, audiences will next sit back to watch The Stath take care of business in Shelter Since The angel has fallen director Ric Roman Waugh. Scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, Shelter sees the popular action star take the lead as a recluse living on a remote Scottish island who, after rescuing a young girl, sets in motion a perilous sequence of events that culminates in an attack on his home, forcing him to confront his checkered history.

Statham will also direct the film from Plane director Jean-François Richet. Mutinycome back for The Beekeeper 2 under the direction of Timo Tjahjanto, and reuniting with director Guy Ritchie for the pair’s long-form action crime thriller and Layered cake semi-suite, Long live the madness.
