The director of Creed Hexe of Assassin and the veteran of Far Cry 2 says he “would not, and could not” work as hard as on Splinter Cell

The creative director of the next Creed Assassin game, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, says he will never repeat the level of crunch he has known as a creative director of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
Addressing Edge magazine, Clint Hocking explains that he “has taken too many tasks and too much responsibilities” as a main developer behind the sequel to Splinter cells, which has been developed in just two years. Hocking, who was a scriptwriter and designer of the main level, finally took the coat of the creative director of the game. Finally, he found himself working 80 hours, which, according to him, has already made him brain damage, causing a memory loss.
“”[I was] Make three jobs at the same time, “said Hocking.” I was enthusiastic and passionate about doing this work, but it wreaked havoc on my personal well-being. “Fortunately, Hocking has not repeated this level of work since – when he drew in a double servant as a creative director and screenwriter on the emblematic Far 2, as a creative director of 2002 Assassin’s Creed Hexe.
“20 years later, it is clear that I would not do it, and I could not do the same [amount of work]. Now I have only one job. I am just the creative director and I try to surround myself with people who are better than me to these other jobs. Admittedly, it turned out to be more lasting, and I hope I will continue to do it for another 20 years. “”
If nothing else, the kind of prolonged croset of which Hocking speaks has become less widespread in the past two decades when developers are expressed more against unsustainable work practices, then I hope it will never be able to have to work so hard again.
Although we knew very little about HEXE – at the start of this year, he named the project for the first time in more than two years – the rest of the hocking works are impressive. Splinter Cell, the theory of chaos and Far Cry 2 were all extremely well received titles. Unfortunately, Hexe and the next remake Splinter Cell are still about Awol, so we will wait a while to find out more about Hocking’s work.
