James Gunn says that the DCU leads to something that is not “what everyone thinks” and that the next Peacemaker season will have clues
James Gunn says he knows whose story is told in the current DCU, and it is not to whom we could expect. Talk to ScreenGunn explained that, just as he felt that his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy was ultimately about Rocket’s trip, there is a similar character at the heart of the new DCU – but we could be surprised by whom he really is.
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s the story of Krypto”, jokes Gunn when asked if the Superman dog could be the main connective tissue of the new DCU. “I think I know who is the story, and it is probably no one that anyone would never expect.”
In addition, the central history of the DCU is indeed built quietly in a major event, but according to Gunn, it will be different from all the ideas that are commonly rumor.
“This is not what someone thinks. This is not what someone would guess,” said the filmmaker. “But I think that if people watch the next season of Peacemaker, they will see where many things go and have a little more sense of what can happen.”
