James Gunn presented a superman major villain in a season of Pacific in season 2 of Easter

Like any James Gunn superhero project, season 2 of “Peacemaker” is filled with small allusions and amusing Easter eggs. Gunn, being a guy who has no problem putting ultra -objective DC characters like Weasel (Sean Gunn), Ratcatcher II (Daniela Melchior) – or, moreover, Peacemaker (John Cena) – before and in the center, some of the figures that exist on the outskirts of his stories can be frontimate. One of these characters is a supervillain who is actually quite powerful, but incredibly easy to miss.
Towards the end of season 2 of “Peacemaker”, of episode 1 – entitled “The Ties that Grind” – Peacemaker, alias Christopher Smith, finally decides to venture deeper into the parallel universe which he discovered accidentally some time ago. There, he is not only a very respected and rich superhero, but his father, Auggie “White Dragon” Smith (Robert Patrick), and his brother, Keith (David Denman), are both alive and extremely favorable to him. Together, the three Smiths fight crime as a top trio, and on the basis of honors on the shelves of the study of the uninvited peacemaker, the public absolutely loves the team.
With all kinds of awards and keys to the city’s attention, it can be easy to forget a newspaper cut that distinguishes a very specific triumph of the trio: namely, their victory over the nasty of DC relatively little known but nevertheless very dangerous called ultra-humanitis. Combine this with the dimensional references of the episode which can very well refer to the existence of the powerful Mister Mxyzptlk, and it seems that season 2 of “Peacemaker” likes to furtively introduce some of the most dangerous threats of DC.
Ultra-humanitis is a genius transfer of consciousness that tends to prefer a gorilla body
With a loss of top trio, ultra-humanitis is rare the screen (at least, for the moment). However, he is an extremely suitable villain for a variant of peacemakers and his family to defeat. Essentially, a very intelligent white monkey with a gigantic powers of control of the head and mind, the villain corresponds to the tradition of the Simian “Peacemaker” antagonists launched by Charlie, the gorilla controlled by butterfly in the episode of season 1 “Monkey Dory”. In addition, ultra-humanitis is also the exact type of bad guy that James Gunn likes to nod. In the comics, the character made his debut in 1939 and quickly established himself as a super genius who exchanged the body which became notorious to be the very first recurring member of the Rogues of Superman gallery. In fact, it is easily one of the strongest bad guys in Superman.
Although the monkey’s body is undoubtedly its best known form, the awareness of ultra-human is known to use famous actresses, dinosaurs and others. Apart from the comics, the incarnation of the monkeys of the ultra-humanitis is probably better known as one of the bad guys of “Justice League: The Animated Series”, expressed by Ian Buchanan. Here, the antagonist is a big fan of the arts and culture that it is indeed his bad gadget, and Batman (Kevin Conroy) and the flash (Michael Rosenbaum) learn to pull his strings.
Currently, ultra-humanitis is hardly more than one of the many “peaceful” Easter eggs. However, if the character made a physical appearance during the events of season 2 of “Peacemaker”, the approach of art lovers would be interesting … if only because this version of the ultra-humanitis would almost certainly hate the penchant of the children of the 11th street for hair metal.
The new episodes of “Peacemaker” The season 2 are starting to broadcast on HBO Max every Thursday.
