James Gunn points to the large distribution of Oppenheimer when he addresses the number of heroes and bad guys in Superman

Philippine Esquire caught up Superman Director James Gunn as a press tour of the film recently started in Manila. Gunn asked a number of questions which, hopefully, show that he was the right person to write and direct this new interpretation of the Big Blue Boy Scout.

On the subject of the creation of a superman who is not only perfect and powerful but who also has faults, said Gunn “Even if it is a very good, very good superman – we see that he can be a little stubborn and he can be a little impulsive with his actions. He has a really, incredibly complex personality.“”

When he was asked if he was anxious to drop the public into a fully trained fictitious superhero world, Gunn explained that he had no apprehension on this subject. At least more, because he screened the film for a number of people and no one expressed that they felt confused or lost. Gunn also underlined the fact that, “I think Oppenheimer has three times more telling roles than us.“”

Gunn also commented on the fact that Superman is still relatively at the start of his superhero career (three years to be exact) and that it is someone who probably “Bed the comments section“And lets him disturb him. Compared,” said Gunn, “I have been doing this for a long time. You can’t let this kind of things reach you. I think it’s true for Superman and I think it’s true for me.“”

In closing, Gunn pointed out: “We all want to have people in power who have our best interest in mind. And Superman is that person; He has a lot of power and he cares about everyone. He cares about taking care of the little guy … he represents kindness, and it is such a simple thing. “”
