Just weeks after losing in a boxing match to Anthony Joshua, social media influencer Jake Paul has been suspended indefinitely, for his own good. Last year, on December 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Joshua defeated Paul in the sixth round of their boxing match.

However, in the final moments of the match, Joshua delivered a hard punch to Paul’s jaw, breaking it in two places. On Sunday, January 4, 2026, the Florida Athletic Commission confirmed Paul’s indefinite medical suspension, according to MMA Fighting. The report states that Paul will not be able to fight again until he is cleared by a doctor. The loss to Joshua resulted in Paul’s first knockout loss and second career loss.
Despite avoiding Joshua for the majority of the match, the ‘Watford Warrior’ began to dominate in the fifth round and effectively trapped Paul in the corner during the sixth round. There, he unloaded a fury of punches, including the heavy right hook that broke the YouTuber’s jaw. Throughout the fight, Joshua landed 48 punches but only received 16 in return. He officially scored three knockdowns in the sixth round and secured his victory.
While Paul was immediately transferred to the hospital to recover, Joshua traveled with his friends to his hometown in Nigeria. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and Joshua was involved in a fatal car accident, which killed two of his friends and left him injured.

“Don’t do this for very long because you’re paying a price that’s not worth it,” Rogan said. “And that price is depression, deep depression, a serious brain imbalance that will lead you to addiction. It leads so many people to impulsive behavior. So many people become gambling addicts, drug addicts, alcoholics after their fighting careers.”
