It’s official, Pokémon is now guaranteed to survive the Apocalypse

Pokémon is already a timeless franchise, thanks to its wildly memorable battle creatures and the inventive ways in which people find pleasure in playing its games. However, one fan wants to provide ironclad protection in case the unthinkable happens. As such, at least one player has designed the ultimate Pokémon gaming time capsule.
Posted on Reddit, Pokémon fan u/AByteOfLogic showed off their custom Pelican 1745BOW Air Bow case inlaid with layers of custom foam to hold each mainline Pokémon game, corresponding system, cables, and backup batteries. Complete with a Poke Ball insignia, this waterproof, crush-proof, dust-proof case is built to last until a new generation of Pokémon masters emerges.

No complete restoration is necessary!
Released in December 2025, the “PokéPak” is AByteOfLogic’s custom hunter’s bow case, hilariously created using GunFoam’s custom layers, perfectly cut to hold every game, system, and accessory. The post sparked a mixture of envy and admiration for the ingenuity and is a solid, portable method of preserving games for the foreseeable future.
It’s both a fun and wholesome exchange in which other people have chimed in with their own personalized carrying cases, expressing support for each other’s creativity and dedication as fans. It contains every major title, including the Gen 1-9 remakes, with a lion’s share of Game Boy, DS, 3DS, Switch models, battery chargers, and Poke Balls containing lanyards and accessories.
The Pokémon Apocalypse kit is a strong argument in favor of game preservation
Pun intended
The waterproof O-ring, in addition to prevention systems intended to keep water and debris out, systems like these are a reasonable option for those looking to store their precious games safely. This may seem excessive, but even in non-apocalyptic scenarios, natural disasters, including earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods, destroy valuable items with depressing efficiency.

It is appropriate that AByteOfLogic is also a To fall fan, casually joking about fending off post-apocalyptic scavengers with a Mr. Handy robot. However, the reality is that since digital game ownership deals with licensing rather than the title itself, preserving physical media is a reasonable aspiration, especially when hard-earned money is being spent on building collections like this.
Although the new generation 10 Pokémon games have not yet been confirmed if they are game keycards or fully loaded cartridges, as fans have seen with Pokémon Pokopia, there is no guarantee that players will fully own future “physical” Pokémon games. So it is perhaps appropriate that there is no foam slot provided for these additions.
