It’s always sunny in the tribute of Lynne Marie Stewart de Philadelphia

There was a handful of loving tributes at the end of the episodes “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, dedicated to extras like David Zdunich or members of the Cast or crew family who died, but Saint Heck, this injure. At the end of the final of season 17, the public was entitled to clips by Lynne Marie Stewart like Bonnie Kelly, the neurotic and alcholia mother by Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day), set to the song by Willie Nelson “You Away On My Mind”, with the words “for our sweet Lynne … / … We love you”. “”
Stewart has been part of “It’s Always Sunny” since the very first season, originally appearing in the episode “Charlie was attacked” and asking Charlie to show him a baby doll where he (allegedly) inappropriately touched as a child by his school gymnasium. In the years following Ms. Kelly’s presence on several occasions and Stewart steals each scene in which she is.
While Stewart also appears in this episode (“The Golden Bachelor Live”), announcing Long Time Param Frank (Danny Devito) that she joined the competition “The Golden Bachelor” for “Be a Slut!” She died at the age of 78 years only a few months after the filming of the wrapped season on February 21, 2025, leaving behind an incredible television heritage beyond the always hilarious Bonnie Kelly.
Before she was Charlie’s mother, Lynne Marie Stewart played Miss Yvonne on the Playhouse of Pee-Wee
Stewart had an incredible career in television and films, starting as a member of the comedy troop, the Groundlings alongside “the creator of Pee-Wee” Paul Reubens and the star of Saturday evening live Phil Hartman in the 1970s. Soon, she stacked appearances as a certain number of nurses in classic sitcom “M * Spotted spots in shows like “Laverne & Shirley” and “The Golden Girls”, but it was when she was interpreted as the queen of beauty flirted Miss Yvonne on the children’s series “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” that she really won the heart of the audience everywhere. As Miss Yvonne, Stewart was able to deliver part of the most adult humor in the series in a cheeky way, and it was a pure comic delight. Stewart was friends close to Rubens until his death by cancer in 2023, and the two were apparently dedicated to the creation of wishes of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, visiting sick children in hospitals and attending their commemorative monuments after their death.
The news of Stewart’s death brought gentle condolences from her longtime friend Cassandra Peterson (better known as Elvira, mistress of The Dark), who published a photo of the two together on her Instagram with a legend Reading partly:
“One of the nicest, the softest and funniest women who have ever experienced. The emblematic Miss Yvonne of the Play-Wee’s Playhouse: she will always be” the most beautiful woman in Puppetland “.
Peterson was not the only one to publish a tribute to social networks to the deceased actor, because several of the “always sunny” gangs found their own ways of saying publicly. After 20 years of filming of the comedy FX together, it seems that Stewart is really an integral part of the “Sunny” family.
The characters of Lynne Marie Stewart will live in our hearts forever
As Bonnie Kelly, Stewart was one of the few really warm and (especially) nice characters in the entire “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. With her roommate, Mac’s mother (Sandy Martin), Bonnie has always had a kind of problem that seemed atypical for a woman of her age on television. Bonnie was most likely a sex worker to join both ends while she raised the young Charlie, and she apparently slept with almost all the men interested in Ireland, and honestly? Good for her. Bonnie kissed her sexuality and did her best to be a loving and attentive mother to Charlie despite her own problems, and she is easily one of the best secondary characters in the series.
The gang shared their feelings on social networks, with the publication of the day “Thank you for all the years of laughter” in Instagram, while Kaitlin Olson wrote a message which called him “Pure Joy” on his Insta, and the husband / the creator of the series / actor Mac Rob Mac shared a sincere praise with a Stewart screen laughing at the series that reads:
“This is how I will remember her. Laughing hysterically and making everyone light up with joy. She was a real professional but much more, a buzzing tag of everything that is good and just in the world. Lynn was a constant reminder that we can laugh and love our path through life and that sharing with others in the interest of what we do.
Lynne Marie Stewart was a hot and brilliant actress who brought an incredible heart to everything she has done, and we will really miss it. Rest in peace, you absolutely legend.
