“ It must hurt ” – Arteta reflects on the release of the PSG Champions League

Mikel Arteta says that the elimination of the Champions League semi-final in the hands of PSG “must injure” his players if they are one day win the competition.
The Gunners fell in the penultimate obstacle after a defeat of 2-1 in second row at the Parc des Princes-3-1 on the total-while the French champions walk on the Inter Milan face in Munich in the final.
Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi gave control of the PSG of the tie in Paris, but only after a start of blisters of visitors who saw goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma achieved a series of impressive backups from the start.
Vistinha saw a penalty saved by David Raya shortly before Bukayo Saka drew one for the men of Arteta with 15 minutes remaining.
The English winger then wasted a glorious chance of further reducing the deficit, but it is the team of Luis Enrique which progresses to challenge the largest trophy in European football of clubs.

Although graceful in defeat, Arteta thinks that his team was the best of both during the tie.
“First of all, [I want to] Congratulate PSG for reaching the final. The evaluation that I will do when I will be a little cooler, but the comments that I removed from their bench were that we were much better than them, ”said the boss of Arsenal.
“When you watch the two games that was their best player on the field?” It is their goalkeeper.
“He made a difference for them in the tie. And I think we were close. Much closer than the result shows. But unfortunately, we are absent.
“I am very proud of the players. What we have done today, the way we started, how we managed the pressure. After 20 minutes, it should be 3-0. But there is something that you need to go to your way and it is not the case [for us]. “”
Arsenal is now ready for another season without trophy – their fifth consecutive. And Arteta thinks that his players must learn from the pain of defeat in order to end the drought of their silverware.
“I am upset. Yes, we were very close. Yes, for long periods of the two games, we were much better than them,” said Arteta.
“But we are not there and it must hurt. If we want to win this competition and go there, we have to do it.
“There are certain things that are on us. Understanding that we came out is not the way I look at him. ”
