Isolated thunderstorms, the rain could have an impact on pride events in the DC region

It is a weekend loaded with pride events in the DC region and dispersed showers and thunderstorms can have an impact on festivities.

Thousands of people gathering to celebrate the WorldPride this weekend will surely bring rainbow to DC, but forecasts also call for certain dispersed showers and thunderstorms which could have an impact on the festivities.

Saturday is expected to launch the day with a dose of morning showers, while temperatures increased in the 80s.

“Some storms can contain brief gusty winds and brief periods of moderate to heavy rain,” said the first 7news alert meteorologist Steve Rudin.

The wet weather continues throughout Saturday with isolated storms, but there could be a break in the rain during the afternoon that aligns the WorldPride parade, which begins at 2 p.m.

At nightfall, dispersed showers will return, becoming potentially more widespread in the DC region.

By finishing the weekend, residents of the DC region will see even more showers and thunderstorms. Storms can bring a hail and gusty winds.

The sun will make a slight return on Monday, with high temperatures in the 80s lower than the 80s. That said, wandering showers were scheduled later in the afternoon.

The showers and thunderstorms will cross the DMV on Sunday, with the potential of a few strong to severe storms. The Storm prediction center has parts of the DMV, including areas inside and around the belt under a “light” risk. Winds in mind are possible with a small hail during a given storm.

MONDAY: Partially sunny and wandering
Hauts: 80-85
Winds: South 5-10 MPH
Lots of sun and high in the midst of the 80s will have a great day. An wandering shower cannot be excluded later in the day.
