Lacombe signs an 8 -year contract with ducks

Jackson Lacombe signed an eight -year contract on Thursday with the Anaheim Ducks. The financial conditions were not disclosed for the agreement, which begins with the 2026-20 season.
The 24 -year -old defender collected 43 points (14 goals, 29 assists) 75 games with Anaheim last season. Lacombe concludes the last two -year contract he signed with the Ducks on July 15, 2024 and could have become a limited free agent after this season.
“Today is an exciting day for my family and I am grateful to the organization for their belief in me,” said Lacombe. “It was an easy decision for me to commit my future to the Ducks and the County of Orange. We are building something special here and I am delighted to do everything I can to help this team win.”
A second round choice (n ° 39) by Anaheim at the NHL 2019 draft, Lacombe has 60 points (16 goals, 44 assists) in 148 NHL games.
The contract occurs five days after the Ducks signed Mason MCTAVISH striker to a six -year contract that also starts next season. MCTAVISH, 22, led them in goals (22) and finished second in the point team (52) in 76 games last season.
Anaheim opens her regular season on October 9 at Seattle Kraken.
