Super Agent Ali Barat, addressing RMC Sport this week, revealed that Frank had played a very major role by convincing the 22 -year -old to join Tottenham for his competitors in London.
“Xavi has a very strong mentality and a great personality. Tottenham and Chelsea are both fantastic clubs with solid projects, and there was a real interest on both sides,” said Barat.
“But Chelsea was always clear with us; They had certain constraints that made opinion difficult in discussions difficult.
“So when discussions with Tottenham started, it has become clear that it would be a project that would be perfectly suited for Xavi, and I think the discussion he had with Thomas Frank was really the key to Xavi’s decision.”
Speaking after the surprise victory of Tottenham 2-0 at Man City, his compatriot signing Joao Palhinha, who took advantage of an impressive start to life in London overall, also revealed that Frank had “pushed” for him to return to the Premier League.
“The coach pushed me to come here, and he showed me the project he has here in Tottenham,” said Palhinha.
“The club is such a good club. I am really happy to be back in the Premier League. Like the last time I was here, I am so happy. Now I want to enjoy this better club and high level atmosphere.”
Now, according to Spain’s reports, Frank has his eyes on another player.
Tottenham Plan Morten Hjulmand Bid in the middle of Thomas Frank’s belief
According to a Spanish media source, this man sports the star of CP Morten Hjulmand.
The Denmark international is currently in good shape for the Rui Borges team, starting the five games of the Liga of Primeira so far this season and on average a very impressive precision of 92.9% (Whoscored).
After having become a star for current Portuguese champions since its move more than two years ago, in an agreement of an initial value of 15.5 million pounds sterling, the value of Hjulmand has skyrocketed.
His contract includes a liberation clause of 68 million pounds sterling, but Tottenham plans to test water with an offer of 52 million pounds Sterling for Hjulmand.
Frank apparently thinks that he could be a “key” for the club, and with Yves Bissouma very likely to leave in 2026, Hjulmand could be the perfect replacement of the International of Mali.
Sporting realizes that the 26 -year -old could be tempted by the “irresistible” offer of Spurs of an opportunity to play English football, and it is obvious that this season could be the last of the midfielder in Portugal.
“Morten Hjulmand is a high-energy midfielder, box-to-box and [he has] showed that in his twinning with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg [for Denmark]”Said the former Denmark goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen last year.
“He can achieve goals and do the dirty job. He quickly increased with sport and won the League, he already has great experience.”
