Instant Latte Chai Mix (without dairy products)

It’s no secret, we are big cellar fans! We love a classic Masala chai or a dirty cellar, and we infused the flavors of a chai latte in countless treats (from the crème brûlée to cookies, hot chocolate, and more!).

With 13 years of blogs behind us And 13 Chai recipes (and counting!) On the blog, it was time to find our beloved. In addition, it would be just false to finish the 14th year without 14 recipes of chai inspiration, right? RIGHT!

Now that this is set, let’s discuss this last addition: our mixture of instant chai latte, inspired by our instant hot chocolate with 3 ingredients and our 5 -minute calendar mixture. This new recipe is a mixture of black tea + spices with coconut milk added. This means that once your instant latte mixture is ready, you can make chai slats anywhere You have hot water! Whoop whoop!

How to do instant latte mix

The first step is to mix your black tea And spices In a thinner powder, which helps them to dissolve better in water. The warming of spices inspired by the Chai Masala that we use in this recipe includes cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and optional nutmeg.

If you are going to take this mixture on the go, it’s a good idea to add a granulated sweetener (such as coconut sugar or cane sugar) at this time. But if you are going to enjoy it at home and / or want to use a liquid sweetener, we prefer to soften during the service.

If you do your latte chai at home and are ready to make a little additional effort (For a coffee style result!), We strongly recommend that you do your cellar in a mixer. It makes it additional creamy and smooth, and improves the flavor of the spices much more. To the mixer, add:

  • Instant latte mix
  • Sweetening – We love monk’s fruit, but coconut sugar, stevia, honey, maple syrup or cane sugar all would work
  • Hot water (or hot milk, like almonds) – Use milk for a thicker and more creamy latte
  • Collagen (vegan, if desired) – adds proteins + from the additional creamy

Mix Latte Chai

  • 2 bags Nature black tea (2 bags give ~ 2 teaspoons // optional // Use decafa or omit for caffeine)
  • 2 Tablespoon terrestrial cinnamon (Cassia for the best flavor)
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Cardamom on the ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon whip (optional))
  • 1 pinch clove
  • 1 ⅓ cup coconut milk powder (We used the native forest)

Lanch

  • 2 Tablespoon Mix Latte Chai (from above)
  • Sweetening to taste (We used a small amount of monk fruit sweetener, but coconut sugar, stevia, honey, maple syrup and cane sugar are all large options))
  • 2 Tablespoon Collagen or vegan collagen peptides (optional For proteins + additional creamy)
  • 1 ¼ cup hot water
  • In a small mixer or a spice mill, combine black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg (optional) and cloves. Blitz to combine. Transfer to a pot and add coconut milk powder. Shake to combine. If lumpy, transfer to a bowl and whisk. The mixture will remain at room temperature up to 1 to 2 months. Or choose to stay in the refrigerator for a longer term freshness.
  • To make a hot chai latte in a mixer (our favorite method for the best texture / flavor / foam): add 2 tablespoons (18 g) of mixer at high speed to heat as well as the sweetener of choice + collagen peptides (optional). Then add 1 ¼ cup (300 ml) of very hot water (or hot milk of choice – see notes) and mix up until they are frothy and combined, ~ 30 seconds. Appreciate!

  • To make a hot chai latte in a cup: simply add the following to a large cup: 2 tablespoons (18 g) mixture, 1 ¼ cup (300 ml) of very hot water (or hot milk of choice – see notes), sweetener of choice and collagen peptides (optional). Then stir or whisk vigorously or use an electronic friction to combine. Appreciate!

* If you want a sweet version of the mixture, you can add 1/3 cup of coconut sugar (59 g) at the same time as coconut milk powder. When you are ready to make a chai latte, mix 2 ½ tablespoons (22 g) mixture of latte with 1 ¼ cup (300 ml) of very hot water.
* For a more creamy and thicker chai latte, you can use milk without dairy products heated instead of hot water. We do not recommend using more coconut milk because it exceeds cellar flavors.
* The spice mixture can be placed at the bottom of the cup while you appreciate the cellar, but we found that it had not affected the flavor. Keep a spoon at your fingertips to enhance them when you drink if the spices should be dispersed.
* You can also add the mixture to the hot coffee for a dirty cellar!
* We tried to use this mixture for an icy latte, but we discovered that, unfortunately, coconut milk separates and feels a little “greasy”.
