Insider View Giant Breakout Star as a possible commercial chip if they sell

Two weeks ago, the Giants of San Francisco looked like safe buyers on the deadline for trade.

With one of the best records in the National League, the addition of a few parts to this list seemed that something Buster Posey would do.

However, things were cooled for the giants, and after going beyond the expectations at the start of the season, they returned to the proverbial average with a section which saw them win four of their last 10 games while fighting to produce races.

For this reason, there is a chance that San Francisco can really sell parts instead of adding.

Although it would probably take things to go wrong to make it happen, if the giants do not believe that this group can win a World Series championship, so they would be better suitable not to ship assets and recover something in return for their next free agents.

If this is the decision they make, then Jeff Passan d’Espn thinks that the Breakout star Wilmer Flores could be their best commercial chip.

The initiate did not give a pure and simple reason, but it is easy to understand why.

Flores has a year of resurgence that comes out of its disappointing 2024 campaign, reducing .250 / .315 / .405 with 10 circuits, 47 products produced and one OPS + on the league average of 100.

The right-wing bench bats are always something that teams are looking for, and as it should happen on the free market after this season, San Francisco should take advantage of its performance in small groups and get something in return if they are not real suitors.

Passan has highlighted other potential commercial options such as Tyler Rogers and Mike Yastrzemski, but all of these movements will probably only come to trip.
