Insider exhibits approximate news for Raiders QB Geno Smith

Las Vegas Raiders were largely targeting a quarter of a quarter in the draft of the NFL last April, but things changed when the raiders finally fell to sixth in the order project. The Sander Sanders stock stock has not helped either.
Consequently, Las Vegas ended up swinging a business for Geno Smith to manage the reins under the center for 2025 and potentially beyond, because the raiders also signed it for an extension of the contract.

Smith has been a considerable success with Seattle Seahawks in recent seasons, but here is the problem: he does not have exactly the same type of Las Vegas help.
The raiders’ reception bodies are quite thin, in contrast with the days of Smith’s Seahawks when he had DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett at his disposal. In Vegas, it is about Jakobi Meyers and a bunch of unproven players to the position, which will make things difficult for Smith.
Tashan Reed of athletics has provided an update on the situation of the wide receiver of the raiders after a recent joint practice with the 49ers of San Francisco, and outside of Meyers, things did not seem pretty.

“The other receivers had trouble creating a space against the defensive backs of the 49ers,” wrote Reed. “San Francisco relied on aggressive blankets with a lot of press, and the Raiders receptors have often blocked on the melee line.”
Reed noted that Tre Tucker came towards the end of the session, but that Las Vegas will certainly need him to produce more regularly.
“Raiders will need him to be more consistent – and get more of all their non -Meyers receptors – to have an effective passage attack this year,” added Reed.
Tucker caught 47 assists for 539 yards and three affected in its second campaign in 2024, so maybe a larger season is in store for the old third round choice this fall. But can raiders count on him as No. 2?
Recruits do not make Thornton and Jack Bech are definitely intriguing, in particular Thornton revolution capacity. But the two players are very raw and may not become great contributors from the start.

Fortunately, Smith has Brock Bowers, Elite, Brock Bowers, but he will absolutely need help from his wide receivers if he really wants to have a first successful campaign in Las Vegas.
It also does not seem likely that raiders will be able to swing a job for a large week before week 1, but it could be something to watch in the future.
