History

OSF Healthcare is an integrated health system founded by the sisters of the third order of Saint-François. For more than 145 years, OSF Healthcare has been engaged in its mission: to serve with the greatest care and love. Based in Peoria, Illinois, our denominational health care system employs nearly 24,000 mission partners in 159 locations, including 16 hospitals, with 2,134 approved beds, 39 urgent care locations and two nursing colleges in Illinois and Michigan.

Innovation commitment

In 1877, the sisters of the third order of Saint-François began to serve their communities with compassion and humility, without fear of meeting the most difficult challenges to provide care to all those who needed them.

The OSF Innovation was launched by OSF Healthcare in 2016 to collaborate and generate ideas, problem solving and quickly adopt health care solutions. We focus our partnerships and innovation activities in five areas:
