Injured star returns to SmackDown after 6 months

The MFT is finished again.
Solo Sikoa had announced a change in his group in recent weeks on WWE programming. This was finally revealed on this week’s episode of SmackDown, which aired live from Australia for an international audience.
Shinsuke Nakamura first made his surprise return to answer Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the US title. The Japanese star almost won the match with a Kinshasa but the defending champion remained in the match as best he could.
A hooded figure then appeared at ringside and sent Nakamura over the barricade. He got into the ring and attacked Sami. Upon removing the cover, the character was revealed to be none other than a returning Tama Tonga.
Tonga Loa, JC Mateo and Talla Tonga then came out. They first surrounded the ring, then beat up Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura before group leader Solo Sikoa entered the arena and posed with their bodies to end the segment.
Tama Tonga was out of action heading into WrestleMania 41 due to an undisclosed injury. He was written off television on the April 18 episode of SmackDown with an attack by LA Knight.
Sami defeated Sikoa to win the United States Championship on the August 29 episode of Blue Branded. After today’s attack, it looks like this rivalry isn’t going to end any time soon.
