India will play little in Pakistan at the Asian Cup 2025

India played Pakistan for the last time in June 2024. After that, the terrorist attack of Pahalgam occurred.

The India-Pakistan rivalry has always been the biggest scene in the cricket, and with the next Asia Cup 2025, the excitement is all time. However, the trip has not been without challenges so far. Despite the threats of withdrawal and the fans’ backlash, India agreed to play the tournament, chaired by the president of the ACC and chief of the PCB Mohin Naqvi. Now, the former versatile of India and Chennai Super Kings, Kedar Jadhav, thinks that the shocked shock in Dubai may not happen at all, although it is locked in the tournament calendar.

Will India will not play in Pakistan?

While talking to Ani, Jadhav said:

“I think the Indian team should not play at all. Regarding India, I think that wherever India plays, it will always win, but this match should not be played at all, and they will not play. I can say this with confidence … The Sindoor operation is a success, it succeeds.”

India and Pakistan were gathered in group A alongside Oman and host of the United Arab Emirates, with group B with Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. The Asian Cup begins on September 9, the India-Pakistan match scheduled for September 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

On paper, not only will the arc rivals compete in the group phase, but they could also meet in the Super Oven and even the final. This sets up the enticing perspective of three Indo-Pak meetings in the three weeks. Jadhav reflected a feeling that was shared by many former cricket players.

The discomfort increased last month when a scheduled match of India-Pakistan legends in England, featuring stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Shahid Afridi, was canceled at the last moment. The decision was made after strong criticism of social media against the participation of Indian players.

By the way, the champions of India and the Pakistani champions had to meet again in the semi-finals. However, the Indian team refused to play again against Pakistan, Green’s men passing by the final.

Officially, however, the image remains different. Earlier this year, the Minister of Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, had confirmed that India would continue to play Pakistan in multilateral tournaments through sport. The BCCI had also requested the government’s authorization, and once the approval was that the Asian Cup takes place gently.
