India Squad announces for Australia Tour Live: all eyes on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma; BCCI began to announce squads today

The announcement, expected during the third day of the current test of India against the West Indies, has an enormous importance because it could mark the return of two of the largest cricket icons in India – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
The two veterans had moved away from the T20is after the triumphant campaign of the T20 triumphant World Cup from India and then withdrew from the test cricket.
They have been out of action since the March Champions Trophy, but would have trained rigorously for their international return.
The hundred of Kohli against Pakistan and his heroism in the semi-finals against Australia remain fresh in memory, while the winning blow of Rohit in the final of the World Cup against New Zealand still resonates with the fans.
Their presence would add experience and firepower while India would face Australia in three ODI (October 19-23) and five T20is (October 29 – Nov 8).
Selectors, however, must carefully balance the form, the physical form and the workload. Hhelik Pandya continues to recover from a quadriceps injury, while Rishabh Pant is unlikely to be in shape over time due to a fracture of the foot.
Test captain Shubman Gill, who is currently heading a junior strike unit against the Antilles, could be rested for part of the tour to manage the crowded calendar – eight games in three cities in just 19 days.
With the WTC points at stake in home tests and the T20 World Cup that is looming at the beginning of next year, management must juggle short -term ambitions with long -term planning. Fans are preparing for what could be one of the most discussed team announcements of the year. Follow all the updates live here on Timesofindia.com!
