India plays XI against West Indies – 2nd Test, West Indies tour of India 2025:
Openers: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal
India would also like to replicate the performance the team delivered in the first Test against West Indies in the next match, in a bid to seal another home series.
The home team looked like a complete unit both with bat and ball, and on the field, as almost all the players fulfilled their roles, and are expected to do the same in the scheduled match in Delhi.

The opening duo of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal continued the good work they did in the Test series against England and put together a strong partnership for the first wicket, with KL Rahul scoring a century.
This was Rahul’s second Test hundred at home after almost a decade, when he fell a run short of a double hundred against England.
Jaiswal, on the other hand, started cautiously and changed gears after getting ready, only to go out to try and maintain the race pace.
KL Rahul would like to build on the match-winning century when he bats in the second Test, while Jaiswal would like to convert the start he gets into a big score.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sai Sudharshan, Shubman Gill (c), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy
The opening pair will be followed by a middle order who also rose to the occasion and scored liberally against an inexperienced Windies bowling line-up.
The run fest started by KL Rahul was continued by Shubman Gill, who scored his first half-century as India captain in the home Test matches, Dhruv Jurel, who scored his first Test hundred, and Ravindra Jadeja, who also scored a century.
The only player who will be disappointed among the three would be Gll as he failed to turn that half-century into a big score and would have his eyes on that in the next match.
Amidst all the moments to cherish, the team management reportedly took note of Sai Sudharshan’s form as the left-hander struggled to spin the strike after India’s good start and was eventually dismissed by Roston Chase.
The hosts were hoping for him to get a big score in the next match to gain confidence for the upcoming matches.
Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
As for the bowling department, they will be expected to do their job again, like they did in the first match.
The onus will be on Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah to pick wickets with the new ball and make things easier for the spinners.
India should use the same spin bowling combination of Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar, and would rely on them to do what all three do best, that is, pick wickets when the ball goes soft.
Ravindra Jadeja also had a good Test match with the ball and fulfilled his role as the team’s senior spinner to the best of his ability, and would look to carry over this form in the next match with support from Kuldeep and Washington.
