“ Kids of the 90s, joined: a reissue of “Backyard Football ’99” should make its debut in September from Playground Productions.
The game will be launched on September 9 on Steam and Mobile platforms. It is now available for pre -order on the App Store and Google Play and for the wishes list on Steam.
The players back to “Backyard Football ’99” include Barry Sanders, Dan Marino, Drew Bledsoe, Jerry Rice, John Elway, Randall Cunningham and Steve Young.
The revival of “Backyard Football ’99” occurs in the heels of playing field production acquiring the rights of the beloved sporting gaming franchise last year, which was followed by the reissues of “Backyard Baseball ’97”, “Backyard Baseball ’01” and “Backyard Soccer ’98”.
All the rebuilt “backyard” games were developed by Mega Cat Studios, which was ordered by Playground for the retrofing engineer of the original CD-ROM titles for modern platforms.
Playground seeks to extend the “backyard sports” franchise beyond the reissue of existing titles to include a new game, as well as the potential for projects through television and the film.
“‘Backyard Football’ 99 ‘made me a football fan for life,” said Lindsay Barnett, CEO of Playground Productions. “From learning games to team management, this game has made football accessible, fun and exciting for all ages. I am so proud to bring it back in time for the football season.”
The former quarter of Miami Dolphins Marino, who added his vocal talents and his resemblance to “Backyard Football ’99”, added: “Going up this game to a new generation of fans and reconnect with the OGS makes me so excited at the moment.
