Tom Aspinall admitted that the delays in unifying UFC heavy titles against Jon Jones had become more difficult mentally than the most difficult moments of his career.

Tom Aspinall makes overwhelming admission concerning the delays of Jon Jones

The 37 -year -old champion apparently has no remorse about continuous delays, telling fans to “cry more” when he told him to stop delaying the Aspinall career.

Jones was accused of “mentally exhausting” Aspinall by his former opponent, Anthony Smith, who said that “Bones” is a master to do this exactly.

And in a recent interview with Demetrious Johnson, the acting champion admitted that continuous delays were more difficult mentally than when he suffered an injury threatening his career.

During the first 32 -year -old meeting against Blaydes in 2022, the fight ended without ceremony when Aspinall underwent a brutal knee injury, which put him away for more than a year.

Since then, the Briton has revealed how mentally he was feeling about him to be out of action for so long, unable to train and compete.

“It was obviously devastating to injure each other in front of everyone and all that. But anyway, it was a difficult time for me. I came back, took me a year with rehabilitation … so it was a difficulty month mentally.

“But I always had a small goal of working. Now I am almost an inactive year without any prospect of anything waiting. So now is actually a little more difficult for me mentally than it was at that time.

“I have constantly few goals to work, when now it’s like” it’s just, be ready and we will let you know “, it’s a bit mentally difficult,” he continued.
