New Delhi: India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir praised the skipper Shubman Gill for managing the test of tests recently finished against England and supported him to continue shining in the coming years.Gill played a decisive role in the 2-2 draw of India, amassing 754 points with four centuries in the five game series.“I think Gill did a fabulous job, that’s all I can say and he will continue well for Indian cricket,” Gambir told journalists when he arrived from England on Tuesday.While Gambir played a role in tactical decisions during the series, it was not long in diverting the credit and highlighting the team’s collective effort.“We are really happy. I think the boys deserve each song because the way they have fought for the past two months in the five test games. They deserve all applause.”
Mohammed Siraj received generalized praise for his performance, but Gambir clearly said that several players have stood out throughout the series.“Look at him (Siraj) was really brilliant, not just him, the whole team has played brilliantly and it is really difficult for me to mention a name.“These guys have, whether it is Shubman, be it Siraj, Jaddu, Washi, Jaiswal, I can stand here and talk for the next 20 minutes of individual performance. I think the boys have been brilliant in the past two months,” said Gambir.
