Ifixit demolishes iPhone air, finds that it is mainly a battery

As it is now a longtime custom, Ifixit has done a complete disassembly of the latest iPhone – this time, the new iPhone Air. These demolitions have become quite routine for a while, while Apple has set up in a fairly consistent design for iPhones, but the new design of the iPhone Air has offered an opportunity for convincing observations.
Many of the important components – including the entire logic card – are grouped at the top of the phone, while the majority of its environment and homemade body a battery.
IFIXIT noted that this battery is identical to that included in the Apple Air Magsafe battery pack – you can even exchange batteries between the pack and the phone without problem.
The fact that the battery occupies about two -thirds of the device also helps to mitigate the problems we saw with “Bendgate” in thin iphones earlier a few years ago. Bendgate occurred in part because the logic card was damaged under pressure in the middle of the device. Now, the logic card is right at the top, where a turn is less likely to occur, and the battery is more resilient.
