Liverpool is already getting closer to their first signature of the summer transfer window, and that delighted one of the former players.
Jeremie Frimpong should arrive in Anfield to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, bound for Real Madrid, with advanced negotiations between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen. And although this agreement has been questioned by some, a person who welcomed it is the former striker of the Reds Stan Colllymore.
Collymore delighted by Liverpool Pursuit de Jeremie Frimpong
In his chronicle exclusive to failure, Colalymore agreed with Liverpool’s decision to sign a new great-back, while expressing his joy to the desired target being Frimpong.
“I think it is necessary for Liverpool to sign a new right back this summer with Trent leaving, since Conor Bradley has had many injury problems. And although he had a good start for his career in the Premier League, he remains to be seen if he goes full time.
“Jeremie Frimpong would be an excellent signature, I would love this case if it takes place – and shout at Celtic which will get a good sale if the agreement takes place. The possibility of having a great-back which is so good to move forward is important, and the fact that Liverpool has already moved is already very intelligent.
“I think he will excel in Liverpool. It is fast, is done before and is good defensively too. It also adapts to the profile of the club, so it should be a resounding success.”
It remains to be seen if Liverpool can obtain the Frimpong Agreement above the line in the coming weeks. There will be many international expectations of the Netherlands if he takes precedence, but he will surely be convinced that he can manage the pressure.
