Wednesday Season 2 is back with a blow, and even if we have to wait until September for part 2, we start an excellent start.
The first part of season 2 is made up of four episodes, so it was crucial to keep the audience committed and to make sure they would come back for the last episode. Given that Wednesday was renewed for season 3, the pressure is on, but I personally can’t wait for this program to continue.
When we catch up on Wednesday after a two -year break, the dark teenager returns to Nevermore when summer ended. But while her peers were all partying and having fun on Wednesday spent her summer vacation to pursue a serial killer, very on the brand for her.
When he returned to Nevermore, many things have changed. After the departure of Gwendoline Christie as director of the Weems, we have a new school manager in the form of the main director of Steve Buscemi, an idiotic but suspect who wishes to obtain funding for the school.
Nor is it the only new addition to the distribution. Joanna Lumley joins playing the mother distant from Morticia, Hester, expanding the beloved Addams family and providing more family drama, which was seriously missing.
I was delighted that the family is taking the spotlight this time, with Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley, joining Nevermore, and his parents, Morticia and Gomez, who stay to help with a gala. Having them around is a delight and you can expect laughter, macabre delights and moments worthy of hunts because yes, Morticia and Gomez are in love with the season this season.
Nevermore students are also back, of course, and we are gathered with familiar faces such as Enid Sinclair, Bianca Barclay, Ajax Petropolus and Eugene Ottinger.
It takes long before more dramas followed, of course, while Wednesday tries to find his harasser, to face his psychic capacities and to understand why a murder of crows is fine, murdering people. There is never a quiet day for Wednesday.
While the main intrigue focuses on crows and that (or what) controls them to kill people, we have several undergoes in progress. Wednesday obtains a vision of the death of Enid, Enid is taken in a love triangle, Pugsley accidentally creates a zombie, and more.
I admit that not all of them are attracting attention and slow down the pace in places, but the main plot is sufficient to keep you invested. I was also very in love with the character of Zombie, named Slurp, who gave laughter and fears in abundance.
We are only halfway, but so far, I can say with confidence that it has been a good season and that there is real potential to develop things in the next four episodes.
I hope that we will be able to know more about the family and their buried secrets, some of which were referenced at the start of season 2.. Without spoiling anything, there is a lot to hope for fans on this front, and Addams Family Drama can compete with any reality show.
Will Wednesday Season 2 continues to impress up on September 3? Until then, why not discover 4 more frightening Netflix emissions with more than 90% on Rotten Tomatoes to watch then?
