Although originally played by Mikael Persbrandt during FoundationFlashforwards, The Mule is now played by Pilou Asbæk in the current scene of season 3. Although I cannot challenge the pure power that the mule has, I can’t help but feel that its big arrival has been disappointing so far – apart from this cold open in the first.
Hopefully, Foundation Season 3 continues to justify the huge accumulation of the mule.
There are a lot of promises with regard to the potential of the character, and the performance of Asbæk as a confusing mentallic has been formidable so far, but The mule lacks substance Beyond being intimidating and eccentric and not having a real problem with violence.
