I Tried Steve-Inspired Dr. Squatch’s ‘Stranger Things’ Soaps and More

After selling Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater in soap form in June, Dr. Squatch is getting weirder with his latest drop. The soap brand, mainly intended for men, now has a Stranger Things collection scheduled for the final season of the Netflix series.
Each bar in the themed range is inspired by a different theme Stranger Things character. The one I personally couldn’t wait to try: the Squawk Signal, a nod to Steve Harrington. In season 5, Steve (Joe Keery) and Robin (Maya Hawk) start their own radio station, WSQK “The Squawk”, which the group uses to send secret messages to each other. Dr. Squatch’s Squawk Signal Soap is inspired by Steve’s latest work and contains electrifying notes of lavender and cherry soda.
THE Stranger Things The collection also includes bars named after Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). Waiting for Flight. 2 to be released on December 25, I tried the entire Dr. Squatch ST programming to see what these characters are supposed to smell like IRL, and if Steve’s soap is worth buying for devoted Harrington fangirls like me.
Steve smells floral and fruity
When I took the Squawk Signal soap out of the box, I was surprised by the calming and subtle scent. It’s very coded by Steve, though. In Season 1, he seems like a cool jock who doesn’t care, but Steve Harrington quickly proved that he has a heart of gold deep down. He babysits all the kids and treats them like he’s the big brother they need.
This soap perfectly matches those good vibes with a relaxing fruity and floral scent. I couldn’t really smell the lavender, but I could smell the cherry soda – which reminded me of when Steve and Robin were hiding in the movie theater in Season 3. The sweet scent also fits with the fact that Steve really takes care of himself and even uses Farrah Fawcett hairspray to maintain his iconic look (which he mentions in Season 2). He would totally use a soap like this to get ready in the morning.
If that’s really Steve’s scent, I don’t know why Nancy would choose Jonathan over him.

Eleven smells like strong citrus fruits
A character as strong as Eleven needs a soap to match, and this citrus bar is just that. Experiment No. 11 soap contains rainbow plant extract with notes of crisp lemon, lime and sage.
It was so bright and the tangiest of the four soaps, so it’s a great bar to use first thing in the morning to really wake you up. It was a little too overpowering for me, but if you like citrus or fruit scents, this might be for you.

Vecna smells like smoked vanilla
Vecna’s Curse soap, inspired by Stranger Things‘ big bad, fits his vibe so well. It’s not as strong as the Eleven bar, but has a similar brightness that smells almost minty. This could be from the juniper notes. There’s also vanilla, blood orange and a smoky side that matches the Upside Down.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has jumped on the vanilla scent bandwagon in 2025, like Taylor Swift, but if you’re also looking for something darker like the spirit of Henry Creel.

Dustin smells like roses
You wouldn’t expect a Dustin Henderson-inspired bar of soap to exude rose petals, but that’s how misunderstood the Hellfire Club really was. Strange things. Everyone at Hawkins High School considered the Dungeons & Dragons group strange and evil. Deep down, though, they were just some nerdy kids having fun playing a game. (Justice for Eddie Munson.)
It makes sense that Dr. Squatch’s Hellfire & Beyond Soap is just as surprising with notes of berry-like pink pepper and toasted cloves. It has a bit of a leather vibe, like Eddie’s jacket, but the bar is overall very calm and cozy.

Are those of Dr. Squatch Stranger Things Are the soaps worth it?
Like a huge Stranger Things A fan who’s not quite ready to say goodbye and plans to celebrate the finale with a big watch party at home, I highly recommend the Dr. Squatch soap collection. It’s a great way to indulge yourself in the bath or shower, especially if the conclusion is as stressful as fans predict.
You can get the full four-pack of soaps online for $32 (saving you about $4), but if you only need one soap, get Steve’s bar. This was my favorite of the bunch, and when can you say you smell Steve Harrington? A dream come true.
