Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac was pleased with Julian Brandt’s recent good performances. “I’m beaming like a reactor, I’m happy. You see Jule is a great player and a great person,” said a cheerful Kovac before the Champions League duel at FC Copenhagen.
Brandt recently scored in the Bundesliga against FSV Mainz 05 (2:0) and Bayern Munich (1:2). He could now play against the Danish champions on Tuesday (9 p.m./Prime Video). “Jule had some problems because of his hand injury,” and Dortmund’s other offensive players “did well” in a successful phase for BVB, Kovac stressed. It was “difficult” to make a change.
“I know what Jule can do. He will definitely play again from the start in the future,” Kovac said: “I’m happy to have him.”
