I just found my next portable hi-fi solution, and it’s not a pair of over-ear

Know me, know that if a piece of kit has five (5) rotary buttons plus meters of level and I can slide it on my arm and through the door, it comes with me.
Do you think I could wear these two as earrings? Or a neck and a bag, maybe? Because believe me, I’m going to stuff them as I can.
You can reflect the speakers in superior beds, around IKEA image frames or even at the base of table lamps in the name of Economic Interfonctional Parts of Space. But that? It’s different. This is something that I would withdraw in the big big open in the name of music.
Nick Bentel Studio has created them, a company that is creative force behind projects of furniture, fashion and extremely fanciful and stimulating art.
The two electronic handbags that you see here are the translucent speaker bag, a Bluetooth compatible boombox in the form of a bag and the mixer bag, an entirely functional audio mixer that allows you to connect and mix up to four displacement devices – and it is the last one that really excites me. Bluetooth speaker bags are not unknown (see Bang & Olufsen’s ODD 2022 Balenciaga Collab) but a decent mixer in the form of a bag? It’s new to me.
With its transparent acrylic shell and its visible circuits, the bag of speakers Nick Bentel is always very kitsch. And I love its RVB LED level meter with three display modes (controlled via a fashion button on the side of the bag). Again, is it just A Bluetooth speaker? Would I really put my phone in it before going to the club? No, because I appreciate my phone. Maybe a chapstick; Maybe a tick tick box – that’s all. And also, it costs $ 350 cool …

The mixer bag ($ 400, which would be about £ 290 or $ 610 at) is a work control hub – a four -channel mixer with stereo / mono support integrated into a handbag shape, ready for spontaneous sets, parties, etc.
You get four input channels (6.35 mm / 3.5 mm) and an output, compatible with devices such as your phone, CD players, computers and amps. Each channel also has a stereo / mono switch for a flexible mixture.
Then there are the double -colored double -colored LED counters integrated to display levels in real time. For me, the star star is always the main volume button on the mixer bag, plus four independent channel buttons so that you can adjust each entry separately. And Nick Bentel Studio says that he is powered by DC 5V – so no bulky adapter required.

Together, the pair creates something of a portable dj kit. The people of Nick Bentel tell me that this limited edition drop is handmade in the studio and will be launched on July 2 With pre -orders from June 30.
The fact is that the mixer bag has appropriate audio chops and is designed to be used; It’s not just a fun bag with pimples. For me, he shouts high -end children and clubs from the late 1980s, in the way other portable speakers have never done so.
Maybe I can do without the bag of speakers. But this mixer bag is simply too good …
