“I hope he returns to AEW very soon,” says star after unfortunate announcement

A popular AEW star just sent a heartfelt message to another fan favorite on the roster after an unfortunate announcement was made about them earlier today. They are expected to miss this year’s Continental Classic.
Darby Allin has been away from the company for almost two weeks now. It was reported that he was under observation at a medical facility after his previous match with Kevin Knight. Earlier this evening, it was revealed that he was no longer allowed to compete in the Continental Classic and would be replaced by “Jungle” Jack Perry as the tournament’s Gold League member.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey, who is also in the Gold League, reacted to the news and mentioned how he was looking forward to sharing the ring with Darby during the tournament. He also wishes him a speedy recovery. Speedball is aiming for first place in the tournament, as it is still unclear what could happen. He has only played one match so far, which was a loss to PAC.
See his article below.
“I was really looking forward to being in the ring with @DarbyAllin and I hope he returns to @AEW very soon. First place is still on the line and I will stop at nothing to win the Continental Classic. See you soon, Jack Perry. #AEWCollision”
Reason why Darby Allin was not cleared by AEW
There was a lot of confusion regarding the situation of Darby Allin, known as someone who has always put his body on the line, but is still an active competitor regardless.
In a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was mentioned that Allin suffered head trauma resulting from a single blow and not from wear and tear. This reportedly happened during his match with Kevin Knight, but there is no information on exactly where it happened.
There is no information regarding the timeline of his potential injuries. But given that he was excluded from the Continental Classic, it’s safe to assume that fans won’t be able to see him for the rest of 2025.
