“ I have to start somewhere ‘

President Donald Trump plans to unveil a “complete” plan aimed at combating violent crimes and protecting freedom of expression, the Chief of White House, Susie Wiles said on Thursday, told Salem Radio Network Scott Jennings.

The founder of Turning Point USA (Tpusa), Charlie Kirk, was murdered on Wednesday during a “prow-me bad” event at the University of Utah Valley by a lonely shooter. Wiles told Jennings that the Trump administration had already started working on a plan after the death of the Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska. “We already worked already, stimulated by this Ukrainian woman, who was killed on the train, as by the tragic death of Charlie, on a more complete level on violence in America, the importance of freedom of expression and civil speech, the ways you can approach them, they can all be called hate groups that can agree with this type of behavior,” said Jennings.

“So, in the coming days, the president will tell the American people what we plan to do,” added Wiles. “It will not be easy. There is a layer on the layer because part of this rhetoric filled with hatred is multi-generational, but you must start somewhere, and the president is determined to do so.”

Trump announced Thursday that he would award Kirk the presidential medal of freedom posthumously, one day after having ordered that the flags were stolen in half of the staff until September 14. Wiles said that despite the anger against Kirk’s assassination, the measures would not target freedom of expression.

“I don’t expect a 9/11 type response,” Wiles told Jennings. “I think it is as much in hearts and minds as in public security. We believe in the first amendment in this country, in time, in a complete judgment. ”

After Trump launched a repression against crime in the Columbia district, the district did not report homicide for almost two weeks. During the two weeks after Trump’s August 11, the takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department, cars dropped by 96%, while flights dropped by 68% and homicides fell 67% compared to the same period in 2024.

Since the start of the repression of the national capital, 2,130 arrests have been made and 225 firearms have been seized, according to a Wednesday position on X by the Attorney General Pam Bondi.
