“I have my reservations on bazball theory”

The former spinner of India Ravichandran Ashwin gave his opinion on the theory of “Bazball” while speaking of the century of Ben Stokes in the current Manchester test. While Stokes scored a hundred hundred brilliant, Ashwin questioned some of his photos and if it was necessary to play them.

The captain of England reached his 14th ton of test, making 141 points on 198 bullets with 11 limits and three six. While the hosts have fought aggressively in the format in recent years, Ashwin reflected that it was not necessary to do so if you can play the appropriate test cricket.

“I have my reservations on the theory of Bazball. There is a small line between aggressive cricket and stupid cricket. Ben Stokes took fast quisors and struck these shots that were taken in the middle or halfway. Why? When a striker can play a round like that at Headingley in the ashes, what is the need to do? “If you want to play aggressive cricket, pull a rear ball, press a reader on the top, but you can be aggressive like this. This rail stroke, inverted sweeping, it is not necessary to show an aggression like this, if you have the pedigree,” he added.

Stokes has certainly intensified its side in the series of current tests. Regarding the Manchester test, he marked a century and picked up six counters, including one five in the first round.

It’s always the test of England to lose, believes Ashwin

Ashwin believes that England is still the favorites of the current test at Old Trafford. India was overturned for 358 in the first round, and the hosts responded with 669, winning a massive advance of 311 points.

They then pushed the visitors to the rear foot by reducing them to 0/2. However, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill led the fight of India, covering an undefeated stand of 174 points when India has lost no other window during the day. Although he believes that visitors can make a draw, it will not be as easy as it seems.

“It is always the test of England to lose. Also look at the first rounds, we were in good position, but once they got a counter, they got their head of the nose. India has a long tail. Shardul can beat. If they can remove it, it will be pulsed. I will make you shoot this game. On the cards, if India can do it,” said Ashwin. (21:45)

Kl Rahul is undefeated on 87 out of 210 balls, while Shubman Gill is undefeated on 78 on 167 balls.
