MAN OF TOMORROW Director James Gunn Teases Brainiac Again With Cover Featuring the Villain

For the first time in his long film career (seriously, look it up, the man’s been around for a while), Superman is set to face Brainiac in the DC Studios film. The man of tomorrow. Speculation regarding the character was sparked when Gunn shared the cover of his screenplaywhich presented brain images. Recently, Gunn took to social media to clarify that he “never” said that Brainiac would be the main villain of the film. Nonetheless, the aforementioned report and Gunn’s tease have made it clear that David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will be dealing with the terrifying space explorer. Now, Gunn has taken to social media to tease the character again.

On his original post, Jimenez captioned his art expressing his excitement for his involvement in the upcoming Superman/Spider-Man crossing. Although it’s harder to say exactly what he meant, seems the artist also shared his excitement for Brainiac’s appearance in The man of tomorrow: “It’s always a pleasure to draw this old friend, who will soon be at Spidey’s side, and I still can’t believe it! Jimenez is arguably one of the most talented comic book artists working today, so it’s exciting to see his depiction of a fight between Brainiac and Superman. It’s also exciting to see his art recognized by a major industry figure like Gunn.

James Gunn is known for featuring comic book artists on social media, so sharing a DC cover isn’t news in itself. However, what makes his latest article particularly exciting is The man of tomorrowThe expected inclusion of Brainiac.
