Pixel 10 loses the overview of “Hub Daily”, Google works to improve

On the Pixel 10, Daily Hub brings together your calendar, your magic signal and other suggestions. Google is now taking a public break from Daily Hub to improve the experience.

Daily Hub was launched in a public overview on the Pixel 10 series. There was a badge at the top of your screen just above the greeting, with Pixel Studio in 2024, it is also launched as a “preview”. (The image generation and publishing application is graduated with its large update 2.0 last month.)

The weather and the overview of your calendar worked as planned for users, while there is also a section “Keep them on your radar”. This can surface emails (such as invoices), text messages (upcoming events) and keep notes that would be useful. Aligned with Magic Cue, we saw this section on some of our devices, but not very regularly.

Meanwhile, Daily Hub has surfaced the media recommendations that are powered by the same system behind the Google Play collections for the applications that have opted. This may include music and podcasts when there is also Youtube content based on your interests. My recommendations for podcast episodes were good, but it was successful (especially with shorts YT) for my colleagues.

The final carousel shows subjects that you may want to know more about or things to plan. The selection of a gemini application will open with a detailed prompt input. The usefulness of this is a bit uneven.

Google today has stopped showing Daily Hub at the top of your discovery flow and at a glance on your home screen or locking screen. This temporary break will allow Google “Improve [Daily Hub’s] Performance and refine the personalized experience. “The company shared when the” improved Hub Daily “will be launched beyond” when it is ready “.

“To ensure the best possible experience on Pixel, we temporarily stop the Daily Hub public overview for users. Our teams are actively working to improve their performance and refine the personalized experience. We are impatient to reintroduce an improved daily center when ready.”
