Everyone loves a story of return. It is so deeply rooted in the foundation of sports, and whatever your fandom, watching a player returning years of difficulty is simply comforting to neglect. Now, looking at baseball, the Chicago Cubs may well have the best story of return of the year in the major baseball league.

Drew Pomeranz, a large 36 -year -old left -handed launcher, had not launched since August 2021 before signing with the Cubs. He has treated injuries to flexor tendons, as well as elbow problems. This prevented him from launching an MLB match for more than three years, but Pomeranz launched well above average for cubs linked to the playoffs.

The Southpaw was with the brothers in 2016 before going to the Boston Red Sox for Anderson Espinoza. He then signed a free agent contract with San Diego after the 2019 season before undergoing several arms injuries that prevented him from MLB for a few years.

His return is a story of well-being, and we should expect a standing ovation if he arrives to launch Petco Park. He did not launch against the padres in the regular season, so a potential appearance in the Tour des Jokers would be his first real return to San Diego.
