A new true crime drama is about to hit streaming. Based on what is commonly referred to as the “Murdaugh murders”, Murdaugh: Death in the Family follows the double homicide of a mother and son from a wealthy and extremely powerful family in South Carolina. But, as the eight-part miniseries will reveal, it’s much more complicated than that, because they are not the first murders linked to the Murdaughs.
Inspired by the popular Murdaugh Murders Podcast by Mandy Matney (played in the series by Brittany Snow), the eight-part film stars Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh and Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh alongside Johnny Berchtold, Will Harrison, J. Smith-Cameron, Gerald McRaney and Noah Emmerich.
