He even said that Hager had done very well in the industry before announcing his retirement earlier this year.

“He is a Bada ** guy. I mean, a shooter, if you want. You can speak, like the ups and downs and in a way the inconsistencies of the reservation, but I think that a thing that has never been inconsistent was his work. [It] is very, very, very good. He is very, very credible. He is very, very realistic because he is a real Bada ** guy. It is difficult to say something like, oh, well, it could have been more. I mean, guy was a world champion, rightly, and that is a lot. Few people can say that. And he had been in the industry for a very long time; He probably did it, I know he did it, very well financially. “Said EC3.

After leaving AEW in May 2024, Hager fought a handful of matches on the independent circuit for a while. After 19 years in the professional struggle sector, Hager decided to quietly hang his boots in August this year and launched his own trucking business.
