WARNING: Spoilers to come for Doctor Who Season 15, episode 8, “The Reality War”.Doctor Who Season 15, episode 8, “The war of reality”, ended the wish of Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King) and briefly rubbed Poppy (Sienna-Robyn Mavanga-Phipps) of the chronology, but he never fully explained why Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) is the only character who keeps the memory of the daughter of Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu). However, there are a few very protruding theories which can explain how Ruby was able to keep her memories of Poppy. Interestingly, my main theory dates back to the time when Gibson led Doctor Who Enter 14 casting.
The regeneration scene of Ncuti Gatwa which brought Billie Piper to the show remains the biggest point of discussion of “The War of Reality”, but the mystery of knowing if Poppy is the daughter of the fifteenth doctor crosses the adequate episode of Gatwa. Even after being restored by the self-secrification plan for fifteen, I’m still not convinced that Poppy is not the doctor’s offspring. Whatever
Ruby Sunday’s experience in “73 yards” gave him a different perspective
The character of Doctor Who of Millie Gibson had already seen 2025 before the final of season 15 in two games
Ruby experienced another chronology Doctor Who Season 14, episode 4, “73 yards”. This allowed him to see decades in the future, although after the disappearance of the character of Gatwa. As such, Ruby had already experienced a full version of 2025 in “73 yards” ,,,, “ And this is even referenced in Doctor WhoThe penultimate episode, “Wish World”. So, with Doctor WhoPrime Timeline, Conrad’s Wish World is the third version of 2025 that Ruby witnessed, while everyone only lived in two different iterations of 2025.

Ruby’s experience in “73 yards” probably anchored it in one way or another and was particularly aware of the differences between realities. If this is the case, it would be logical that Ruby could keep the memory of Poppy, that it has always been real or created within the framework of the wish. His poppy memory is called “issue“” But none of the other problems is associated with manufacturing. Instead, they simply represented subtle changes in the world after the end of the wish.

Thus, she felt a laziness at Poppy and said particularly that the doctor should do everything in his power to do what he did to Ruby and restore the girls from Belinda to the universe.
The other reason why Ruby could remember Poppy in Doctor Who
Ruby was the one who ended the wish himself
Although the most likely explanation so that Ruby can remember Poppy is the experiences of Gibson’s character in “73 yards”, I have an alternative theory. Ruby Sunday was the only one to end Conrad’s wish. Using the teleporter who was given to him per unit – a piece of kit which was seen for the last time used by Martha Jones of Freema Acyeman in its development phase in 2008 “The Stolen Earth” – Ruby infiltrates the Palais d’Os in order to prevent Conrad from leaping its idealized and problematic version of the earth.

Of course, no theory here is confirmed in Doctor Who Canon, but they both have a sense.
