Chicago weather forecast: Watch of the severe thunderstorm issued for parts of the Chicago region

Chicago (WLS) – The National Weather Service published severe surveillance of the storm on Monday for a large part of the Chicago region.

The watch is in force for Boone, Cook, Dekalb, Dupage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Mchenry and Will Couties until 6 p.m.

The Storm Prediction Center has a large part of the northern side of Chicago as well as the north and west suburbs at a level 2 risk of violent time, with the southern and south and northwest suburbs of Indiana at a level 1 risk of violent time.

Monday will be a hot and humid day with summits around 90, said meteorologist ABC7 Tracy Butler.

Butler says that there could be isolated showers between noon and 3 p.m., with potentially severe storms that move after 15 hours. Butler said that storms could bring powerful gusts of wind and torrential rains.
