How Keira Knightley really feels the pirates of the Caribbean franchise

Although the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films is massively successful and loved by moviegoers around the world, it also has its detractors. Indeed, each entry except for the first episode, “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” of 2003, attracted bad criticism of criticism, which could have affected the way some people see the actors associated with the fantastic adventures of Disney.
The films being on the reception of so many criticisms, some of the actors who appeared in them also have mixed feelings about the films. Keira Knightley – who plays Elizabeth Swann in four of the five “pirate” films released to date – thinks they have harmed her reputation as an actor, as she explained in an interview in 2024 with Deadline. As she said:
“I was considered to be s ** t because of them, and yet because they did so well, I had the opportunity to make the films for which I ended up obtaining nominations in the Oscars [namely, ‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘The Imitation Game’]. They were the most successful films of which I will be part and they were the reason why I was publicly removed. So it is a very confused place in my head. “”
Meanwhile, Knightley’s co -star Orlando Bloom said that he would return to the “Caribbean pirates” franchise in a single condition – a good script. In that spirit, would his wife on the screen come back in all circumstances?
Keira Knightly is not interested in navigating with the Caribbean pirates
Keira Knightley seems to be finished with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films – in fact, she has the impression that she finished in franchises in general. During the abovementioned deadlines, the actor revealed that the films of this similar are very demanding for the artists who work on them, and she considers that the overall experience is not worth time and efforts. To quote it directly:
“The hours are crazy. These are years of your life, you have no control over where you film, how long you film, what you film.”
To date, “Pirates of the Caribbean 6” seems to be stuck in the development of hell and the film planned with Margot Robbie is also out of the cards. So, given that all the announced projects of the franchise continue to pass, there may even be no possibilities for Knightley and the gang to return to the Giron. At the same time, sagas rarely strike too long, so it’s probably only a matter of time until fans are treated more cape, cursed gold and terrifying Calmar.
